The Fiasco Continues

When all hoped seemed to be restored; it was quickly taken away.
Salomon Kalou has decided not to join West Ham from Lille.

The reasoning behind this remains unknown, was it because he didn't want to play as a back-up for Andy Carroll?  Maybe he wanted to be our main attacking threat, only time will tell.
But now we  go back to the drawing board and we can expect many names to be linked with us until a suitable option is found.

On the bright side, Modibo Maiga proved his ability in West Ham's 3-0 pre season victory yesterday afternoon, that should bring some much needed reassurance to fans and the club. I'm finding this striker talk rather tedious now and I hoped we could have found one by now; alas that isn't the case.

With other targets such as Gary Hooper moving elsewhere, time is running out I would ideally like at least another option to choose from in time for kick-off against Cardiff. With most of our business being done early, could it come to the point where we have a busy transfer deadline day, rather than being properly equipped come the start of the season?
