West Ham Shouldn't Underestimate Cheltenham

With the Second round of the Capital One Cup kicking off for most teams tonight, the bigger clubs will be hoping they do not fall victim of a 'giant killing',after-all every year the cup will provide us with a surprise result or two. Last year it was Bradford's breathtaking journey all the way into the final at Wembley against Swansea. Years prior to that we've had Northampton beat Liverpool on penalties, Coventry beat Manchester United and many more examples.

As a West Ham fan; I hope that we can put in a good performance and beat Cheltenham tonight. This is a great opportunity for lower opposition to get a financial boost and progress through the stages of the cup.
The last few years have been rather forgettable for West Ham and cup runs, we have struggled to gather any real consistency and when you look at teams like Bradfrod and Wigan; making it to the final it proves that it can be done!

A good cup run doesn't always prove to be the solution to a clubs problems but It would be advantageous for us to have a decent cup run, that way, youth get the chance to showcase their talents-and moral is kept high by the progression into the latter rounds.

My prediction for tonight is a 3-0 win for West Ham, I'm also hoping that the younger players who get given the chance take it; especially the forwards, we are currently lacking in strike-force so this could open the door for new talent to stake a claim for a first team spot.
