Attention Focused On Remy

The Duvzan Zapata deal is now officially off, alternatives are being lined up; in order to sign a new striker in time for the new season.

The latest player to be linked is QPR forward Loic Remy. Joining the 'Hoops' back in January Remy looked the hype, managing to score a few goals for the club, despite this Qpr were still relegated to the Championship and now the French International's future with the club is uncertain. Interest in the player hasn't been as strong as we all thought it would be, so a cut price deal may be in the offing.

If you gave me a choice out of Zapata or Remy, I would pick Remy all day long, in a terrible season for current club QPR he had people genuinely believing that he could save them-and if the team around him tried harder they would have.  Loic has proven that he can score goals in the Premier League and Ligue 1, so being confined to the Championship will be a waste of a huge talent. He wouldn't only provide cover for Andy Carroll but play alongside him as-well, because Remy can play on the wing or upfront.

With that being said I would only take Remy at the right price, Qpr have made it clear that they don't want to sell the player-and with our reputation for paying over the odds; I would be disappointed if we paid anything over £6 million, due to the players wages.

If a deal could be pulled off quickly that would be ideal, with Remy having personal problems off field it remains unconfirmed as to the outcome of such events and how West Ham will monitor that situation in order to avoid future problems, should the player join.
