Bournemouth 0-2 West Ham

A step up in class this afternoon for West Ham against A.F.C Bournemouth, with the hammers winning their first two pre-season games quite comfortably they hoped to continue the momentum into todays game, that they did.

With goals from Kevin Nolan and Jack Collison West Ham never really looked in too much danger in Stephen Purches testimonial match from the cherries. The first chance of the match came from Cherries midfielder Harry Ater which took a fine save from West Ham keeper Jussi Jaaskelainen. It didn't take long for West Ham to assert their dominance over the Championship side. Right Back Guy Demel  putting a precise ball into the box which was happily nodded home by ever present captain Kevin Nolan. Sam Allardyce will be hoping a knock picked up by Nolan won't be anything serious.

Jack Collison had a blatant chance but failed to convert, soon after he made up for his earlier miss and rounded the Bournemouth keeper to casually slot home West Ham's second goal of the game.
The cherries didn't give up and gave it a real go in the second half with Wes Thomas going close just after half time. A number of changes were made by both clubs but neither team was able to find the net, Modibo Maiga looked a real threat for the hammers; with the forward putting a header just wide.

Bournemouth legend Purches made an appearance just after hour mark and received a standing ovation from   both sets of fans. Later on in the game fellow club legends Darren Anderton and Steve Fletcher got involved in the action but the games finished 0-2 for West Ham.

A comfortable pre-season win for the hammers; you can't go wrong with that!
