Players That Could Replace Diame

You can never be too prepared in the world of football, and with Mohamed Diame future still uncertain, lets take a look at some alternatives if he does leave.

Zdravko Kuzmanovic-25 year old Serbian international Zdravko is a player who appeared on the West Ham radar a few days back, its since been reported that a £5 million deal has been offered to require his services. A player who is relatively unknown in the Premiership, on the other hand he has a wealth of European experience playing for Fc Basel, Fiorentina , VFB Stuttgart  and current club Inter Milan. The player joined Inter back in January since going on to make a dozen appearances for the club. For a midfielder he's proven that he can find that back of the net and you would think a link up between himself and Nolan would work quite nicely. It still remains unknown as to how the player would adapt to English league but with European and International experience on his side Kuzmanoic could prove to be a real coup for the hammers.

Joey Barton-Contriversial choice I know but Joey Barton is a player with a vast amount of Premier League experience, playing for Man City, Newcastle and most recently a rather torrid (self inflicted) time at QPR.
In the right frame of mind Joey could become a real asset to a club, on the other hand he could become a liability (as proven). Joey's time at QPR seems to be virtually over and another fresh start is needed, I base this pick down to the link up between himself, Kevin Nolan and Andy Carroll. I admit that this choice might not be worth the hassle and his wages won't come cheap either.

Ludovic Sane-Interest in Sane was thought to be high up until recently, a player that can operate as a holding midfield player and central defender, two for the price of one!
Sane is eager for a chance to prove himself in the Premier League and it looked like he would end up at West Ham until the Bordeaux club president admitted that their wasn't any real concrete interest coming from our direction. With the player seemingly forcing a move away from France I expect him to leave either way, his adaptability is key to this pick.

Thomas Hitzlsperger-The return of 'the hammer,' I felt Thomas left West Ham prematurely.
Injury prohibited playing time for the German; eventually making his first team debut in February against Burnley, scoring a cracker in the process. The games he played in I felt that the impact he made was a positive one, since leaving Hitz joined Wolfsburg and most recently Everton, at both clubs he failed to make any sort of impact so it could be argued that he's past it but as a cheap alternative to act as cover-and on a free transfer it could be a case of unfinished business.
