Diame To Everton Deal Closer

We are hearing more reports to suggest that Mohammed Diame is set to join Everton.
In a previous article I stated that I could see this deal happening on the basis that it would see the player re-united with ex boss Roberto Martinez.

For the moment this still remains unconfirmed but it's definitely gathering a bit of pace, if the worst shall happen and Diame leaves Im sure we'll cope but for £3.5 million?
He is worth more than that so some fans may call this a typical West Ham move!

For Everton it can be seen as a great bit of business, performances from Diame against teams like Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United reiterates how good of a player Mo is and that he has the ability to mix it up with the big teams. When he was signed from Wigan I wasn't too familiar with him but it soon become evident as to why it was such a big loss to the club, a player that has attracted interest from teams like Barcelona, Real Madrid and Man Utd it was inevitable that teams would soon turn their attention back to the Senegalese international.

The best possible scenario would be for West Ham to offer Diame a new contract and finally get rid of that dreaded £3.5 million price tag lingering over us.

Should Diame stay, or is £3.5 million still a profit on a player signed for free?
