With the 6-2 win over Cork on sunday and the 3-0 win over Boreham Wood last night its safe to say that pre-season is going well so far.
Pre-Season may not count for everything but a decent run will give us momentum and set it up quite nicely going into the new Premier League season.
The thing that has pleased me the most about pre-season so far is the impact of the new signings and the youngsters, Ravel Morrison has scored in both games and although its still early days West Ham fans have genuine cause for excitement, Ravzan Rat was very good last night and was key to our first goal, and other players like Dan Potts, Paul Mccallum and Alou Diarra have all made impacts thus far.
This pre-season is more than just a warm up but an opportunity for the fringe players and youngsters to prove that they have what it takes to contribute in the upcoming season.
As previously mentioned a good pre-season will not be the difference between a good Premier League campaign or not, but it won't do us any harm either to be performing well, with any luck we can continue to shine and with new arrivals sure to be coming hopefully they can settle down like the rest of the squad have.
