Vydra Perfect For Hammers

Could Matej Vydra be on his way to the Premier League?
Well, according to his agent (Ondrej Chovanec), the player would fit in perfectly at West Ham United.
With the hammers looking for a striker partner to go alongside Andy Carroll this could be a deal that works for both parties.

Only 21 the Czech Republic international made a huge impact at Watford last season, and was instrumental in the clubs fight for promotion. It is believed that parent club Udinese are willing to allow the player to leave, with Vydra's preferring to remain in London. Swansea and Sunderland appeared to be our biggest rivals but with both clubs securing other targets; it now looks like West Ham are in pole position.

With David Gold stating that we need a player with pace to compliment Andy Carroll, I don't see why we wouldn't be interested in signing Matej?

Last season Vydra proved his worth alongside Watford target man, Troy Deeney so playing alongside Andy Carroll could be that step up in class the player clearly wants.

I see this deal as being realistic, there are some players we are supposedly linked with and it doesn't match up, but everything about this deal is perfect, the players agent is clearly dropping a massive hint to West Ham; a 'come and get me' plea. With the club hoping to pull off a deal quickly and Vydra's eagerness, this one could escalate very quickly.

Would you take the gamble on Vydra?

Or would you prefer us to go with a proven Premiership striker, like Kalou?
