Watford Man Attracting Interest

Watford frontman Troy Deeney has been attracting interest from a trio Premier League clubs after proving his goal-scoring abilities in the Championship.

Last season Troy scored 20 goals for Watford, helping the club to Wembley in a narrow play-off final defeat to Crystal Palace. With Deeney remaining a constant threat for the Hornets; he is now regarded as one of the best English strikers outside of the Premier League, and with that comes the attraction of bigger clubs.

With West Ham, Tottenham and Fulham all tracking Deeney, could he be the solution to West Ham's search for a new striker?

Troy has already scored 4 goals this season for Watford, 1 against Birmingham and a hatrick last weekend against Bournemouth, becoming this first player to do so for the club since 2003.  So he clearly has goals in him, its whether or not he could make the transition at this moment in time. Although Deeney has been around for a few years now, he has only just really come to the attention of Premier League clubs, so it looks like Troy will be playing in the Premiership sooner rather than later.

I'm not sure where Troy would fit in at West Ham, he's scored goals but whether he could form a partnership with main man Andy Carroll will remain unknown. With £5 million being the fee apparently required, I'm not sure if we can afford him, its looks like we'll need to sell before we buy again.

Would Troy Deeney make the cut at West Ham?
