Last weekend West Ham academy graduate Elliot Lee made his first Premier League appearance for the 'Hammers' coming on as a substitute for Mohammed Diame in the 1-0 loss to Stoke.
Although the result wasn't ideal, this is a great sign for West Ham fans and 18 year old Elliot, like he's dad Rob Lee, Elliot will be hoping to frequently don the claret and blue of West Ham for many years to come.
On Tuesday afternoon Elliot scored a hat-trick in the U21's spectacular 5-4 win over Newcastle U21, coming from 3 goals behind and putting on a superb comeback in a what could be considered somewhat of a 'homecoming' for the Geordie born West Ham striker. Lee will be hoping to be playing alongside another Geordie striker Andy Carroll, and if he carries on with those types of performances it could end up being sooner than you think.
Its well known that West Ham are seriously lacking strikers and although we don't want Elliot Lee to get rushed; his performances for the U21's have many within West Ham that he could be the next big thing for the club, maybe even internationally!
Last season Lee went on a run where he was scoring goals for fun for the u18s, notching up 3 hat-tricks in quick succession!
Do you think that Elliot could break into the first team this season, or is it too soon?
