Carroll Shouldn't Be Rushed

With Premier League football taking a break for Internationals; this gives many clubs the opportunity to have a well earned rest. The break couldn't come sooner for West Ham after suffering multiple injuries in the last week!

One player that is predicted to make a return within the next couple of weeks is Andy Carroll, the return of Carroll couldn't come any quicker for 'Big Sam' and West Ham, as they serious lack some quality strike power.

Andy has suffered a couple of long term injuries in the last year and he'll be hoping to avoid any more; as he remains a fundamental part of the squad. Due to Carroll's style of play I worry that he will become much more prone to injuries than the common striker, as he likes to get involved and bully the opposition, just look at his performance against Manchester United in the League last season, his flying aerobic plunge into Goalkeeper David De Gea proves that the big centre forward could have had a budding career ahead of him in the WWE.

I'm hoping that the management team are patient will Carroll and allow the medics to do their job with him, the last thing we need is for Andy to suffer another long term injury problem, it could prove disastrous at club level and internationally as he'll be hoping to impress England Manager Roy Hodgson in time for the world cup.

I think we can all agree that leaving him to recover for another week or two wouldn't do the player or club any harm, a possible return against Southampton has been described as 50/50 and quite frankly, that isn't good enough! Id prefer him at 100% rather than risk it.
