The Solomon Kalou deal appeared to be off; after Jack Sullivan, son of majority shareholder David Sullivan tweeted that Kalou didn't want to play as a second choice to Andy Carroll.
Nothing has been confirmed as of yet but having Kalou join the ranks at Upton Park would provide us with a huge boost going into the opening fixture against Cardiff. According to a French newspaper, West Ham have offered a deal worth £3 million, half a million over the asking price Lille wanted. If true that shows we are hopeful of completing a deal as soon as possible.
I'm playing it safe with this one at the moment, the details still remain very vague, so stay in touch for more as and when anything is announced!
