It was recently reported that West Ham midfielder Mohamed Diame could be subject of a bid from Everton.
With new Everton boss Roberto Martinez already being very familiar with Diame from their time at Wigan Athletic.
Most West Ham fans would have predicted interest to re-surface for Mohamed, with clubs like Arsenal and Tottenahm being highly interested in acquiring his services in the January transfer window-but with Everton now being touted as a possible destination; do West Ham fans have to cause to be concerned?
When hearing the rumor I have to say that I can see this deal happening, when teams like Arsenal, Tottenahm, even Qpr were linked I didn't really believe the speculation-but with Everton its different; Martinez gave Diame his opportunity in English football so it all depends on where Mo's motives lay.
At times Diame was brilliant for us and with good performances comes interest from bigger clubs so It comes as no surprise and tells us that he's good form hasn't went unnoticed and that he is doing something right, it would be difficult to replace him and I would expect West Ham to offer him a new contract as a way to avoid the £3.5 million acceptance fee.
I speak for many when I say that keeping Diame is key to our success next season but if this apparent interest from Everton is pursued it could become difficult to keep hold of the Senegal International.
