End Of A Great Pre-Season

West Ham United 2-1 victory over Portuguese and Primeria Liga side F.C.Pacos De Ferreira; capped off a great pre-season for the Hammers.

On a whole this pre-season has been successful, winning all but two games and beating tough teams like Hamburg, Sporting Lisbon and Bournemouth reiterated how prepared we seem to be heading into the new season.

Some may say that pre-season doesn't have a huge bearing on a new campaign, I believe it does for the first few games. Notching up some impressive victories in pre-season keeps the team morale high and new arrivals with start to gel with the squad. Now we can go into the first game against Cardiff full of confidence.

The team has remained constant with no departures and only a few new arrivals; what should benefit us going into those early fixtures, the teams around us like Norwich, Swansea and Southampton have invested heavily in their squads, so it will take those teams longer to gel and understand each other whereas we don't have to worry about that.

With the return of players like Ravel Morrison and Alou Diarra, its almost as if they were new signings as both didn't really have a chance to showcase their talents before pre-season, so that has saved the club some money.

If we can carry the momentum from pre-season into the new season I think we could be in for a successful campaign.

COYI!
