Time For A Overhaul! Staring With This Man?

I remember it perfectly, a week or so before West Ham were due to kick off their Premier League campaign against Cardiff I wrote an article discussing how difficult it could prove to be for Joe Cole to hold down a first team spot at West Ham.

Now reports have started circulating this morning that Joe Cole is ready to quit West Ham!

It would appear that the man has had enough of Sam Allardyce and is hoping to move on in January.
On Saturday when Cole was substituted in the first half against ex club Chelsea, it was clear that he wasn't happy, and as he storm off down the tunnel I asked myself 'I wonder if Joe is regretting he's move back?'

I like Joe very much as a player, even now I still feel he can do a good job for the club if he was given the proper chance, but as he struggles with injuries it proving too difficult for him to really hold down a first team spot. I believe a 'overhaul' is needed anyway so we can trim down the wage bill and bring in some new players-and Joe leaving would take a nice chunk off of that and although nothing has been confirmed as of yet I feel that losing Joe wouldn't be nowhere near as heartbreaking as it was 10 years back.

Some may blame Big Sam for this but realistically, we knew when Joe came back he wasn't going to walk back into the team. Even if he doesn't move on come January; I can't see him getting offered a new contract, not while Sam is managing the club and giving underperforming players like Kevin Nolan regular first team football over Joe. So it's looks as-if he could be released anyway come the end of his contract (this summer).

Would you like Joe to stay?

Or doesn't he offer the team much?

Here's the article I mentioned.
