We Must Back The Team

If Saturdays result is anything to go by, tonight's result against Crystal Palace should be a good one...

If only football worked like that, Palace will be well up for tonight and pose a much different threat to our fellow London rivals Fulham. We expected Fulham to be up for it but the speculation around Martin Jol's future proved too much for the Fulham players to handle and we subsequently capitalised on their poor performance and convincingly beat them.

With Tony Pullis now at the helm at Palace; faith will be restored for the time being and it's our job to quickly rip that away from them. Against Norwich on Saturday I felt that Palace were unlucky and their recent failure to score goals looked very evident. So I don't expect a high scoring game tonight but we don't need one, all we need is the win. If we fail to get the victory I feel the victory on Saturday could be soon forgotten.

Mr Allardyce knows that he still can't afford to lose this game, if we want to stay in the Premier League we can't do what teams like Wigan have done before us and have one good result then 3 or 4 bad one's because come the end of the season I'm pretty sure none of us what that feeling where one game could decide whether we stay in the league or not.

So I'm going for a 2-0 victory tonight, the Crystal Palace players haven't had enough time to have got to know Tony Pullis and his ways so I feel we can comfortably beat them without making it too difficult on our defense or goalkeeper.

Although if the worse should happen and we fail to pick up any points, I hope we can still remain somewhat 'optimistic' and not turn on the players or Big Sam.
