The 5-0 drumming we suffered against Nottingham Forest in the F.A cup 3rd round tie looked set to spell the end of Sam Allardyce's tenure as West Ham manager-and I think its safe to say that he wouldn't have been missed by many.
I guess I was wrong though because as it stands Sam is still the manager of West Ham and many of our fans are asking the question, why is he?
Results haven't been going our way for the last few months now and yesterdays game ought to have been the final nail in the coffin, after-all if West Brom and Cardiff can justify sacking their managers, why can't we?
Malky Mackay and Steve Clarke had their respected clubs playing well and not many could have seen them getting relegated but that didn't expect their delusional chairmans from rather unjustly sacking them!
Many different reports are circulating the web; saying that we would have to pay Sam Allardyce a figure of £5-£6 million if we were to sack him, a number that the board clearly don't want to pay. Best case scenario would be that we bring in new players, hope that certain key members get back to full fitness and we avoid relegation-but is that good enough?
Considering the optimism that surrounded our club earlier on this season, even the most loyalist of fans could be forgiven for chanting 'Big Sam out?' after yesterdays hammering from Forest!
