Allardyce Will Never Win Over The Fans, But the Board....

At the End of our game against Southampton this afternoon, a familiar sound echoed around Upton Park, that sound was the booing of the home supporters.

It should come as no real surprise as the performance that the players put it was lackluster, uninspiring and simply not good enough, it doesn't take a genius to tell you that, I'm simply stating the facts.

I know many West Ham fans that would be thrilled to see 'Big Sam Sacked' on the back of tomorrows newspaper - but in reality that isn't going to happen. The fans have made no secret about there disliking towards Big Sam and I'm sure that will continue for some time yet...
The reasoning for it is still unknown, some say its down to the long ball approach; that many claim Sam endorses, others claim it's his often smug and arrogant attitude.

Either way the board seem more than happy with Sam as the manager, just look at todays signing Alex Song. Its safe to say that nobody expected us to complete such a deal but it further reiterates Sam ability to get the boards full backing and this is why Sam isn't going anywhere just yet.

Signing a player like Alex Song is a massive statement of intent, the critics can say what they want but Sam and the board deserve all the credit in the world for pulling off such a coup. If Mr Gold and Mr Sullivan had any element of doubt in their mind about Sam, they wouldn't of sanctioned such a deal.

At the end of the season I would be very surprised to see Allardyce offered a new deal but weirder things have happened in football.
